  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Linkage touching botttom of shock?

Tzedz

Husqvarna
AA Class
To me this looks incorrect, its on a 95 360,the shock is marked up as a Showa GH03.Anybody any idea if this is right shock absorber. Also the seat height is incorrect with the 95 spec, varying by some 60mm.Any answers would be appreciated

have you checked to see if your swing arm and linkage bearings are junk?
also some careless citizen might have put a different linkage on[ebay] -a TE linkage on a wr will fit but you get lower seat height and wheel contact w the rear fender

Everthing is tight solid with no play sideways, although when lifting the rear of the bike there is movement 5mm.But not 60mm(seat height diffrence),also its impossible to get to the compresion damping screw as its behind the linkage, and the bottom of the shock is sitting on the linkage,is this normal?

Just take the bike off the stand and put your belly on the seat. This will compress the rear spring enough that you will be able to see the rebound screw.- or get somebody else to sit on it.

Cheers Steady, sorted it with a ratchet strap, through frame and swing arm.Again i dont suppose any body knows the correct shock for this model of husky, and weather the shock should sit on the linkage?

I don't know anything about your bike and linkage, but metal rubbing on metal (shock on linkage) doesn't sound correct. I wouldn't run it like that.
