  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc linkage bearing question

Husqvarna
AA Class
Does anyone know the bearing # for the needle bearing in the linkage on a 2004 cr125.
In the process of installing the linkage I scattered some of the needle bearings (don't ask) and need to replace it. I will buy the kit if I need to but was hoping someone just knew if there was a specific bearing I could ask for at a local bearing shop.

I thought I would try.

I think you should be able to get that at a bearing shop. Take the linkage and insert down to a good bearing shop and I bet they can fix you up. Should be pretty standard.

Great, I actually put it on the bike but I know I was a few bearing short (in so many ways) and its been bothering me since I did it.
It will give me something to do this weekend since its too cold to ride here.

Thanks for the great information! Everyone I talked to locally sent me to a different place so I gave up on finding a local source. I ordered from these guys last week and they came Saturday. I put them in the linkage last weekend.
Super easy and and the price was right too!

I have been super busy at work so sorry for the delay in response and action but wanted to let you know that I appreciated the information.

ive put a few back together with a needle or two missing. lol. packed it with extra thick grease. no issues.
