• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

How do the UFO aftermarkets compare to the facotry plastic. Te factory ones last time I paid about 7.00 each plus shipping.

I think polisport makes the factory ones but not 100%, ive used polisport, and ufo and I'd say there all pretty much the same
 
Agreed. I called UFO. They said the OEM were made by polisport. They also said they use is a little more flexible then factory. These guards take a beating so going to try them.
 
We have them on b/o from Husqvarna right now and under $7 each the UFO does not have a listing as I see it the Grey off 2010 may fit on .I will ask Bryon tomorrow and respon as UFo has them up to 2010 in grey listed not black.
 
The UFO kit is also on back order and so is the OEM ,wich we have both on back order right now so keep checking.Thankls BILL
 
Man I just can't catch a break. I ordered them yesterday and it allowed me to order them without notice of back order. I was also just informed by my dealer the 2012-13 used a slightly different Shrouds then the 2011 so I should cancel the order?

Anyone know more about this?
 
Bob at Central jersey Cycle told me that and often "off the cuff" he gets years mixed up which after 10+ years must happen. ;-). I noted the same thing when I searched the part numbers. I'll report back as I'll see him this weekend. I guess when it rains it pours. I emailed a recycle and he also said he just got in a 2011 TE that had a clean set.
