• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Leatt H2 HF Hands Free hydration system for Moto

If you want the ultimate integrated hydtartion system check out the Camelbak racebak.

http://www.camelbak.com/Sports-Recreation/Packs/2011-Racebak-Mens.aspx

CamelBak just makes the best hydration, all the others leak or break.

Camel back is very nice. Oakley has some great stuff to and I have a hookup there for 50% off retail. However, neither one is hands free... it takes time to get the mouth piece in under the helmet and into your mouth when your in a race...

Does Camel Bak make anything in the 16 oz / .5 or 1 litre that is hands free for a helmet?

CamelBak does a quick release accessory (Dry break) you can insert any where you want. I have seeen them route tubes through the front of the helmet and attach the dry break to the side that way you can change water any time in the pits with out a hassle. Plus you always have a cool drink ready "hands free". They also do waist mounted bottle packs with a tube option from 16 oz and up. Lastly they are launching some new vest products for 2012 that maybe the enduro riders dream.

Ok thanks for the additional info. I'm going to look into the dry breaks... I wonder if anyone in the MTB forums has mounted them into their helmets?

It's part # 90778 and officialy called the "quick link conversion kit". Most bicycle shops have them also gander mountian or REI.

a hundred bucks to hang something from my neck? no way...how would ya keep it from flopping or pulling the brace back.... get a Razor or Annadel (or something simliar the market is rife with this stuff Nashbar, Amazon, Performance Bike et al fer under 50$) and stuff it under yer jersey....fill half and half water and cubes and thats a bout 3/4 of a liter of self regenerating cold liquid....good to go for moto or short stints. i'll be yer huckleberry sippy cup crew cheif big daddy....lol.

dood- sierra trading post has a red, Razor, 45$ matches your bike....get it!!! they're made for roadies. super slim.

T you can rig any hyd device into your helmet, I seen many zip ty engineered set ups, research and d it for your personal needs

yeh the market if flooded with them things and biking stores sell some trim ones then ya add a QD hose fitting and yer golden for takin yer helmet on and off

CamelBak invented the hands free hydration catagory and are still on top after 20 years because they are the best. Same reason you ride a $9,000 Husky instead of some cheap Korean POS.

sorry man...just sayin...and yes i have a camelback...and my '09 WR was 4100.00 too. voodoo tactical makes bombproof packs and stuff for WAY less too. i like the focus of the camelback stuff for cycling though...but for hualing tools and chains and junk voodoo gets the nod its just beefier. not a knock just a fact.

OP wanted a slim one for moto's...the Razor (camelback) is perfect, and designed for, underjersey. gettum on sale when ya can, no reason to pay full pop if ya dont have too...i got bills shop around. jus my 02 sorry if i stepped on some toes...
