• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Kyle Redmond?

Yes it is true Kyle Redmond and Cory Grafunder will be the west coast team.Other then Endurocross I do not know what Kyle will be doing But Cory will do Endurocrss,WORC,Western Hare Scrambles, and other selected events. That is what was said at the corporate office tonight where the new Baja bike was on display

Anybody know what the deal with Zip Ty is - why they aren't involved anymore? From some Facebook posts I read, it didn't seem like a very friendly parting of the ways. Happens I suppose.

Cory Graffunder asked Husky to consider Kyle Radmond as his teamate. They (Cory & Kyle) talked about the deal at "The King of the Motos" and started to work towards the goal of bringing Kyle to the team. The two riders will train, ride and test the 2012 Husky Endurocross bikes very soon, as the first round is in Vegas on a FRIDAY NIGHT May 4, 2012.

Cory is leading the AA class of the AMA West Hare Scrambles Championship Series by 12 points. After 3 rounds of the WORCS series he has been on the box at each round and is second in the Pro2 class points chase. Cory has also made the trip out to Arizona for some AMRA racing this year. In the opening AMRA round he placed third behind Taylor Robert and Destry Abbott, after a last place start, on his trusty husky 449. He returned for Rd.3, a 2-Day event, taking first on Saturday and second on Sunday for the overall win. He is racing and testing and plans to win as many Championships in 2012 as he can for Husqvarna.

Cory is currently trying work on a "quick fill" system for the 449. If you have any thoughts or have seen a "system" that works please reply to this post, thanks.

ring ring engineering.
It was a silly thing having one of our crew(first hand knowledge) squeeze 1 gallon milk containers of fuel into NB657s "ass" tank on his TXC511 during the Tecate Hare Scramble.
Some sort of dry break and then a large dia tank to tank transfer line to get the fuel in fast is what is needed.

You are right RT, but he (Cory) is looking for some "how do I do that" type of fix. I am working on a system, but 2 Heads or more, are better than one. Somebody out there in Husky World must have some thoughts of how to make this happen ASAP. The refueling issue cost Cory second place for sure at the WORCS and by looking at the lap times he was closing on the KTM rider, who was first. It sucks to get beat by the lack of technology and not by skill.

Zip-Ty is done with Husky. Ty and "Sandy Pants" were on Yamaha's and did very well at the WORCS race. Ty was seen cheering for "Team Canada" and I can only hope that the 449 will see some Zip-Ty parts soon. Remember "You can't fake fast" by T. Davis.

I'll sell him the one I made for Nick Burson. I could fill his bike in four to five second as long as the gas cap didn't mess up screwing it back on.

Nic Did you ever get paid??? For you to offer up that quick fill to a another racer is a cool thing. Funny how a guy in Ridgecress can build something the Husky Factory can not
