  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Kickstand

Chisler

Husqvarna
AA Class
Trying to figure out if the Wr 125 kickstand will fit the wr300 ... they sure look better than what I have ( steel ) I’m not into rewelding it again .... and they look a lot nicer .... nothing really aftermarket out there

2 important things to figure out, how long is yours compared to those
how wide is the mount at the pivot, the pivot on the aluminum one might be wider

All good points 2premo .... tell you the truth in my neck of the woods I have yet to see another Wr Husky .... I’ll get a pic up of my old kick stand ... rewelded again .... I’m gonna give it away .... including the two springs and pivot bolt ... lesson learnt don’t use it for a crutch to kick it over .... Lol

I’m hoping maybe Dirtdame can do the swap with pics ... as I believe she has both the Wr Huskys in both 125 / 300 ... : )

Just your expertise if you where to swap kickstands on your Wr Huskys if the 125 kickstand would work on your 300 ... ever since I saw your 125 bike pic , I’ve been wanting to put the same on my bike ... sure looks like it will.

The weather here is sweltering....thus, I am not of the inclination to go out and do any kind of work in the garage. I can tell you this, though....the kickstands are approximately the same length from foot to center of bolt and the mounting tabs are the same thickness. Shape of tab and where the spring peg is on each varies.

Thank you so much Dirtdame .... your the best !!! ..if you were closer I’d be sending over some cold ones for you .... the pics are great !!!

Well, that little stand will try to poke you a new one, if you land your backside on it.

what are the dimensions on that aluminum kickstand?
that might be a nice upgrade to mine that looks just like the steel one

I actually have a brand new kickstand for the 250/300 and old 125 frames in my tool box. I think I have all the springs too. Let me know if you want it. I am off to ride for the next 3 days but will check in when I get home.

Currently running the cast aluminum stand of my '14 310r on my' 10 wr300 it works perfectly other than the foot is angled up but it works fine
