  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Kickstand too far forward revisited 05 06 07

I've posted some home made solutions to this. But thre real fix is the Kickstand bracket . Talked to Ann at Motoexotica and she told me that was probably it.. and it was.

It's Cagiva part number # 80009613 (*coffee edit - wrong part number. The correct part # is 800099613*)

My old bent up one:

So go visit Dan at Motoexotica or you local Husky dealer if you have one

Thanks Ann!

Ann asked me if I EVER put any weight on it and I said probably... said it didn't take much to bend it and it was a common problem...

Now if someone can tell me how to get a loose screw of of my subframe Ill my little problems will be over with on the bike.

Weight on the kickstand - I do that all the time. Mystery solved! That has been bugging me forever.

LOL!! Yeah I did ..... spelling gave out on me :busted:

Has anyone actually ordered part 80009613 and installed it? I concluded this was my kickstand problem a few months ago and tried to order one from Taskys. He said the part was not available in the US.

Try 800099613, that is the real #, taskys should have that, the part number you used doesn't exist.

If you could confirm which part number that would be awesome

I missed a nine in my first post. Rancher1 had it right -- the number on the part I received from Taskys is 800099613.

Btw, the Taskys price was $39.99, though I see on the Halls site that it is listed at $32.25.
