I have a 07 SMR510. About 6 weeks ago I got a container of VP U4..filled the tank up rode a few miles and put the bike away....A week later I go to start it up and its leaking fuel out of the vent hoses...Come to find out this stuff is notorious for gumming up...So I drain out all the fuel and the bike has sat up until yesterday....Take the carb off give it a good cleaning with carb cleaner. Removed the fuel screw ( forgot to count how many turns it was out, lose the spring, oring and washer). Talk about a good time...
Today I find everything and put it back together...
Bike seems to be having a small issue with firing up...takes a good 3-5 seconds.
Once the bike fires up and I blip the throttle the rpms come down to idle level pretty fast.....when i go to blip the throttle again it goes pop and dies....
So, Ive looked around for adjusting the carb and I cant seem to find anything....
Can anyone give me any tips to get this thing figured out.
How are the adjusting nuts supposed to be on the carb and up by the throttle? How much slack needs to be in the cable if any...
Coffee is local and helped me out with the jetting so its pretty much dead on where it needs to be. Its just the other little stuff I need help with.
