• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I need torque specs for front and rear axles. The flash drive manual is not working. Is there anywhere to download the service manual?

Thanks

There is a thin stick on pad in the parts box. Not sure where it goes but I'm thinking on the underside of the seat above the battery. Is there anything like this on other bikes?

Thanks.

This thing? I can't figure it out either.

Yes, that's it. Can someone have a look under their seat to see if this thing is stuck on there. If I'm right it's there to cushion the battery.

Is that what you are looking for? Stuck on my battery, dealer installed it. I now wonder, should it be on the other side of my battery?

Is it on the battery or stuck to the battery case?

Stuck to the case. It's almost impossible to see without removing the battery, which I haven't, but I slid a screwdriver down beside the battery to give the case behind it a bit of a poke and it had all of the properties of a piece of piece of 2mm dense rubber/foam.

Mine is attached to the bottom of the seat just above the battery. Looks to me like that's where it's intended to go...no?

Guess what was different with mine is it was already done. I didn't have a spare section of foam. The battery was already covered...as was the bottom of the seat. Nice find though from the parts book.
