  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Just got my first husky and need help!

Hi how you new to the site and just got my first Husky! I went with the txc310r. I was looking around and didn't have much luck finding aftermarket parts for it, I'm not looking for anything serious right now just a different seat or seatcover and possibly some asv levers if I can find them! Does anybody know of any websites that carry Parts? And is there anything that I should replace or change right off the start? It is going to be my harescramble bike! Thanks!

For a seat I recommend going to MotoSeat he does great work and if you ask he will do any kind of seat you like in any colors you like. Grab yourself some good handguards and a good skid plate first off. Those are really the only essentials I can think of that you would need right off the bat. As far as levers go if you want the unbreakable levers I think you will have to go with ARC levers. I might be wrong though. Since it's a brembo clutch you can get levers for a ktm (such as a 250xcf) and it should fit your bike. Btw it's important to note that not all ktm's use brembo components, most use magura. But I know for a fact that levers off a '08 ktm250xcf or 450xcf will fit your bike. I have done it.
 
I would get ahold of Seat Concepts. They are a site sponsor and everyone loves them. I've seen them in person and the quality is second to none. They will also do a custom seat if you prefer
