  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

just got a 2012 te 250

A Class
I’m excited and worried!

Hope I’m doing the right thing.

Im 47 and ride allot here in the UK.

I’m keeping my 05 te510 for practice tracks and fast dry stuff ‘weight training’

Keeping my wr 250 as its now to rough to sell!

I came close to buying a 04 Tc 250 last week. Very cheap!

I like older bikes no responsibility no worries little/less maintenance and ride them hard!

I’ve never had a new bike. I did buy and race a smr 510 that was 18 months old.

No local dealers. I’ve fell out with closest dealer [rightly so!!]

However I love huskies they have all served me well

So against all my principles I’ve just committed to a 2012 Te 2012 with 3 hours on it.

It’s been a demo bike with demo wheels plastics guards and exhaust fitted and now all the brand new stuff put back on.

looking for advice and encouragement

Reasons and logic for buying are many!

The main ones being

1. Cafe husky

2. Got a 12hr iron man next month. Dawn to dusk , Wales uk

3. Found me a dealer adrenalinatv

4. Not getting enough sex at home

I've got a 2010 and love it! Handles great and plenty of power for me (though I hear the 310 makes it seem like a moped). If the 510 is weight training, the 250 will be like 10 lb curls...

You sound like a hard-charger to me ... No crying and keep on ridin' that Husky ... That TE will take you far, far away ... And back again :)

And Hell YEA, keep that WR250 ...
