  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Can't help it. 310 is great and all but spent too many years on Husky 125's. Hearing about all the fun the rest of the old farts :oldman: are having....I am going to return to the fold.:notworthy: No arrival date yet :excuseme:but at least I am in line.

Joe

I've essentially "bought" a CR 150 as well. I'm first on the list when they get here.

Way to go Joe ****************************************!

Its good to keep a fresh tiddler in the garage....

I took out my 08 TC250 and put the light kit on it(I wired it so its plug and play)....its been sitting for the most part the past year.....spent most of sunday on it in very mucky conditions.....and its nice to have torque for a change...and the forks are a world apart(plush and smooth) even though they are the same as the WR(which I thought were decent after some work)...???

But I cant finesse it like the WR 125... such great balance in the tight bush and everywhere else too....big mudbogs..over logs.. all done with feet on the pegs.....finger on the clutch....and one on the front brake

Its telepathic :) and more fun too !!!

Joe,

Welcome back and you are going to love it. My prediction is that you will have a hard time going back to the 300 after flicking the 150 around. It will go everywhere the 300 goes only easier and faster. :D

Joe has another small bore Husky (besides the WR150) in his life now, but I'll let him tell about it when he's ready.....:busted:

Norman,

I can't help myself so here goes: He has a hard time lifting that 300 over the logs so he picked up a Husky small saw to deal with the problem.

Just my guess,
Walt :D

Don't forget the "50"mm Kayaba forks that they mention. I think they are lying about there shoe size.

I know I know... but I'll let Joe break it. I'm surprised he has not posted but then he is not a post whore like me. :)

Where can I reach Drew?

I need the forks done on my TE250.

If he is still in Jenny Jump NJ I'll bring the whole bike and let he and Ben sort it out for me.
