HOORAY!
I received the JD tuner today, it came fast in the mail,
And with all the zip ties and super sticky Velcro needed to to a really slick install. I didn't take pictures of the install, but I'm sure they are on the forum some where?
I've noticed a nice power increase in the mid and top end. I'm still running the stock exhaust, I have the Tuner set to the stock exhaust setting, but I don't feel like the motor is revving any higher. I have 327 miles on the bike. Will it gradually increase a little as it breaks in?
For you that are running FMF's do I need a Mega Bomb manifold too? or is the slip on to the stock manifold good enough to run the JD at the highest setting? I'm trying to keep the noise down if possible? I like how it sounds now
. Is it possible to just remove the CAT, and crank up the Tuner? I definitely don't want to push it too far, Don't get me wrong the bike works great as is. (But you know how it is, I want as much as I can get safely!)
Also, Re: The rear sprocket, What will a 48 or 46 tooth sprocket give me? With the JD alone I noticed the bike would do 70-80 much easier on the freeway. I'd like the bike to run nice at 70-75 on the freeway, but still be able to run most single track trails well.
I'd love a little more juice in 4th and 5th, Would a tooth change achieve that affect?
The MotoSportz Dampner should be here any day! I'm not happy looking like willy the wale passing big rigs at 69 mph on the freeway, the whips take some fun out of it!
