• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

It`s about time!!!

Just wanted to share. I have a 1998 TC 610 that is almost new I`m the original owner it has no more than 5 hrs on it!! I used it for a little moto then my son came along and no time ( I`m really an enduro guy ) I came across a 6 speed trans a few years ago (the 4 speed was almost useless) and finally today I got a plate for it and took it for a ride. What a great day!!

Congrats.
You screen name is very fitting. With 5 hours on a 11 year old bike it is truly a Husky 4 Life.

So where are the photos and share with us how the transmissin was was swapped and other plating issue you clearly surmounted.

Hi
Going for a ride tonight I will try to take pics. The transmission came out of a 1996 WXC 410 I bought of ebay. The old 4t. motors 350,410,610 interchange alot of parts from 1993 to 1999 and maybe more.
The TC is a motocross model but lucky for me it had a yellow hot wire under the tank with 12 volts (my 1987 CR430 had the same magic wire) so lights were no problem. Installed the rest of road stuff and an inspection and got a plate still easy in Michigan.

PS I still have the CR430 fully restored 1 of my favorite bikes!!

Hey, Husky4life. I'm the one that was asking you about Cafe Husky a couple of weeks ago when the NOMADS stopped by your house. We rode to the Baja Brawl last weekend for some motocross. Wish you could've gone with us. You really do have some nice bikes in that collection. Talk to you soon. We're not riding this weekend. Car show in Frankenmuth.

Hey Thorton98
The 610 is all set. There is a trial in Metamora Sunday that I`m going to ride. I hope to ride with you guys a week from Sunday..
