  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Is TE250 Stock odometer resetable?

I just took the ICO off my TE and put the stock sensor back on

Is there a resetable odo feature on the stock speedo?

Yes there are a couple trip meter functions available as you cursor through the functions. I believe there are total mileage, trip 1, trip 2, tachometer, clock, elapsed time or stop watch mode and maybe some others. The only problem with the tripmeter functions are they can only be reset to zero, and they don't read to the hundreths, and you can't bump them up or down. I use mine for dualsports and end up calculating mileage all day long while riding, usually reseting at an even mileage and just adding in my head.Sort of a PIA but my stock unit is still working soooo.

That is what I'm going to have to do.

When you press the button to the trip function...how do you reset to 0?

long hold/short hold type of thing?

Hold the button until the display resets to 0. Where you at Deposit last Sunday? I thougth I saw your name in the entry list. I went but couldn't finish the event...that first section took me close to 1.5hr to complete....Are you going to Scrub Pine?

I finished but I did not have a good time. I think I was the only finisher in class.

I was the only bike there with a trials tire and it sucked. Joe Chod finished. I think I'm going to the Husky gathering the weekend of Scrub Pine.

I don't need the points.
