• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What a bizarre thread. That place is like a train wreck. The TT Husky forum has become a shrine to one individual.

Isn't that the truth. There was a time when I would've said something (as I have in the past), but now I just let him get on with it.

In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king. Or something like that.

Actually there are some pretty gnarly hombres out there in TT land. I must say however the one I think you are all refering to is a font of information and often has an interesting point of view.

HR or BB over here has more on the ball than you know.
Not saying he doesn't have a lot on the ball. I'm saying the TT Husky "forum" is dominated by him. When a forum becomes dominated by an individual... it ceases to be a forum and becomes that individual's manifesto. I'll pass. There's more than enough wisdom to be had here... by many. I like it that way. But that's just me. To each their own.

Understand completely.... You don't see me moved in over there!:busted:

Its a 'cheap suit' salesman attitude over there ... with a soap opera twist ... even if the threads contains any useful data, you'll have to search through a dump truck full of BS to find it ... You get someone on any of these sites who is NOT a rider and has some other agenda... its crap on the way ...

Yep, it is a strange place over there. I've never been a member, but used to stop by for a read occasionally. Sponsors seem to take on god status with their cryptic one line responses and anyone who has the gall to voice an opinion or question something better be wearing their flame proof suit.

It sounds a lot like a soap opera for women if you read it enough ... do you actually think a few hundred (thousand) Husky people at most can view a thread over thousands of times expecting to find something new about a Husqvarna? ... lol ... They are viewing the 'As the Husky turns' soap opera ... Harmless and useless to a high degree in most cases but it is demeaning to the Huskies ...

We actually like to keep the trash out at the curb ... bringing this in to CH is like having a s.... stain in your underwear.... once it is there you can't get rid of it.....

Yep ...

I'm closing this thread to any further posts. Nothing productive will come out of it.
