• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Every time I ride this bike I get such a rush and an euphoric feeling it probably should be regulated.

The Motor, Suspension ,and Handling are cosmic, whooo:cool:

Good deal Scott, now I;m not the only one babbling about how great the TXC450 is. Intoxicating machine. Thrashing mine tomorrow. ;)

- Just rolled in from a quick 100 miles after work on SM610. FUN.

Would you please shut Richard Ro up! He is a good friend of mine and talks highly about you..."Super Fast! Super smooth!" Anyway, he was making fun of my 2008 TE 450 (I was at Gifford with him this past weekend) and called it 2 ton Tina and went on and on about how he didn't like this and doesn't like that...never even ridden one! He seems to think the only reason you like the bike is because you got it for free (I know you didn't)! He thinks you like your YZ's (that's what he now rides) better than the TXC. Next time you see him, would you smack some sense into his one track mind?

No Problem I am riding over there right now while still typing this reply on my desk top.

The YZ is also a great bike and I do still enjoy riding it on occasion and will still compete in a few events with it, but overall the Husky fits me better, handles better, and is better suspended than the YZ. I rode highly modified YZ's for 4 years and did well on them, I rode a stock TXC 450 at an event and did great.
Today I rode a section of trail that was used in one of the Enduros at the beginning of the season when I was still on the YZ. This was a 24 mph section and I dropped a few points in there. Today I rode the same section on the TXC and timed it. I would not have lost any point in the section if I would have been on the Husky.
Yeah, It's that good. The TXC is no longer stock (LTR Suspension,Motosportz Protection and Dampening, Rekluse, JD Jetting, 100 mph tape, big stereo with 15" subs,ETC) and it is the best bike that I have ever owned or ridden.

THANKS...I can't wait to hear what he has to say!!! Grab him by the ears and tell him that what you are about say IS NOT A SALES PITCH. This is what he is going to tell you word for word. "I told David that the Husky's a nice bike but just a little heavy." Do not believe him as he blasted into the core of Husky nation...heavy...top heavy...single triple head pinch bolt is stupid...expensive to replace brake parts/pads and parts in general...bike is too long...fit and finish is not good...and a lot more! Almost forgot, he told me to ask Lance Smeil (sp) the real scoop on Husky's. I don't know what that means.

I'm under the same assumption that Kelly is...most modern bikes with some prep are all pretty good. I'm not one to bash any brand, but thought Richard was going overboard! Anyway, I am going to ride his YZ soon for a comparison.

Oh by the way, I'm glad you're loving the bike and I hope it brings you a lot of racing success. I'm sure it will.

Just so you and everyone knows, I'm coming off a Honda CR 250. I am so much faster on the Husky (not saying much) because of the confidence that this bike gives me. I honestly feel like I am capable of getting over or through almost anything now. I love it.

David, just smile, say "you're right" and ride off. Who cares what he thinks of your bike, he is not riding it. Braaaaaaaaaaap

He's a good friend and both of us like to poke jabs at each other. It's all good. Besides, I can't ride off because I usually carpool with him! Anyway, I think he was making assumptions of what Scott really thinks and speaking for him...wrong. Man I wish I could be there when Scott sets him straight!

I think this shotgunscott is just an alias for Kelly. It's been a while since he's gone off spouting the beauties of the TXC so it's gotta be him.

I have ridden with both of these "versions" of Kelly... Husky must pay him well...
