• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I love this bike...I had so much fun riding it last weekend at Death Valley with other ADV guys. I saw only one 610TE 09 but he was not in my group.

Awesome pix, thanks for sharing. Looks like a real good time. When are people going to realize in masses that the 610 is the best do it all bike for stuff like that. Contact Creeper int his board to get one of their awesome seats and love them 200 mile + rides. :thumbsup:
 
WOW! Great pics, it looks like the weather was perfect. We are headed to the Bend, Oregon area this week.... wish I was in Death Valley.

Too funny. I am going with 8 other guys for a FUN ride at Chinahat... did not even know this event was happening. We are headed out on Thursday and returning back to PDX on Sunday.

Might check with the club to see the route. Going the wrong way into an oncoming race would be no good for anyone. Staged out of the 2510 CG.

Yes, I have alerted the others. We are riding out of 2510 on Friday. We will make the changes for the week-end based upon info from LOBOS. Thanks for the heads up - that would have been a big surprise! We may just check things out at the race.

We already did the goofy looking bald due thread somewhere, there are to many of us around to use that as a identifier but that nice trail rack should be a standout.

Great pics, looks like a great ride. I have been trying to get over there for a couple of years.

I think you are trying to pull a fast one on us with those pics. Some of them must have been photoshopped or something. I don't think there is any way that an 08 Hulky TE would stand on it's own kick stand long enough for a picture to be taken (although the 610's are much better than the rest):lol::lol:.

The 610's have great kickstands.
 
If you need to find some alternate areas away from the race, stop by our shop and we will point you the right way. I can not do the race, but will be out riding near the area where it is. There are a lot of trails closer in to Bend that will not be used in the fall classic.
