  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC I'm back...

After years of not owning a Husky, and not visiting the Cafe, I'm back with a new '22 501s. My first impression is; Wow! What a great motor. And the bike is light.

First steps in the mod department are to get the rear fender monstrosity addressed, and throw on a set of D-606s. Pivot Pegs are a must as well as an upgraded headlight.

I'm looking forward to talkin' Husky with everybody. It's great to be back.

Welcome back. I've been here long enough to remember your screen name.

FYI... The CH is still awesome, but is also in financial struggle since we sadly lost Coffee a few years back. Dirtdame and several others are making a gallant effort to keep us alive. Sadly, very few individuals are donating to the cause. Please spread the word!

Welcome back, MorrisBetter! I, too, remember you!

An FE501s will probably be my next new bike. I'm still rockin' the 610's and they still make me happy, but I'm an old lady now and I would really like something lighter.

Hey Woodschick! I remember you as well. My advice is to get that 501 in your garage. I'm really enjoying getting to know mine. So far it's just a fantastic machine.

You should check out the Beta 350 or 390RRS

Sez the man with a couple of Betas :p
Not sure a 350 would be the best tool for the big miles that we do. Or that we will do in the future...haven't ridden much in the last few years but hopefully that's going to change in the next few months! Miss you, buddy!

There's always the 500RS.

Load up and come ride with us in Idaho in Sept!!

How's about I ride my 650 out there and then you let me ride your 500 once I get there? :D
I'm assuming you'll lower it for me before I get there, of course.
Thanks, Rob! You're the best!

How about we throw a Beta XT in the trailer for you to ride..... The 500 is staying home, I'm bringing the 300RR. I get really tired picking the 500 up.
