  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc ignition

hello john, thanks for reply. what i'm after is the advance curve drawing ,if there is one. need it to set up a programmable ignition.

I checked my book and all it gives is the Ignition type; no curve drawing. It does state "electronic analogic (WR125) or digital (CR125) capacitor-discharge type, with variable advance" Ignition timing WR125....0.047 in.before TDC (15*). CR125 ...0.031 in. before TDC (4*). Thats all I have and doesn't sound like what you are looking for. You may want to try Halls, Tasky's, or one of the other Husky dealerships. "Programmable ignition" that sounds like it may be used as traction control. Let us know how it works out please and good luck.

thanks for that john. i think the curve only appears in the proper workshop manual. i don't know why they quote those figures as it changes with rpm. its not traction control, but could be adapted for that i surpose. i'm just trying to get my WRE as near to wr spec as possible. will post results.

I have the 250 workshop manual and it shows the curve (WR is way different then CR). So if you can find the 125 mnual it might be there. Search for manual on the TT 4t forum as there are a few places to download them.
