  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Was wondering if you have one of those trick Kehin carbies that seem to be all the rage on these forums. I have a 2002 WR250 with the standard TMX, which I can't really complain about, but wonder what all the hype is about, Cheers Steve

Yes I do. The piece that the throttle cable attaches too (that screws into the top of the slide) needs to be replaced, otherwise it works fine.
 
I still have both subframes, one main frame, 2 uni filters, the Kiehin 38mm PWK, FMF Gnarly pipe, forks and shock, 2 swingarms with good linkage, and new 3.4 gallon IMS tank, stock tank, front and rear brakes... PM me if you need any of that stuff.
 
For those of you that have been trying to call me - I was camped out in the dunes, actually found a water hole that was deeper than it looked, and my phone got wet. I am back home now and my phone works sometimes. You might want to pm me on here instead...

Yes.

People can't reply in that forum so I end up answering the same question over and over again through pm's, but the question can be answered with one post here. Also, If they haven't been a member long enough, they can't send a pm???
 
You should let everyone know that the 2000 WR 250 has a true wide ratio 5 speed that is a direct swap into any WR 250/300

Sooo.... this is some kind of protest to clutter up the 2st forum with your for sale thread?

New people cannot send a PM until their account is approved. It has been that way since the classified forum was put up. The only difference now is, we are using new software that people are not used to yet, so there are more questions about how to use the system. That is being worked on.

Tell you what, I will leave this for the time being because people really do not understand how to send a PM yet even if their account is fully enabled. When the software and documentation is in place that will change.

For the record, there is absolutely no reason a complete ad cannot contain all relevant information, complete with external contact information - you could post your email, and if you don't want to use your primary email, free email accounts are super simple to get. Then as things are sold update the ad.

I have a 04 CR125 that is ridden strictly in the woods. Could use a larger fuel tank. If yours are still available I am interested if they will fit the little CR??
