• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna's FAR Team Ready For National Enduro Series Opener
Fred Andrews Racing marks Husky's return to National Enduro Competition

Corona, CA - January 26, 2012 - It's where competition began for Husqvarna in America, and Fred Andrews Racing (FAR) is bringing the iconic brand back to its origins. The 2012 AMA/Rekluse National Enduro Series kicks off in Wedgefield, South Carolina, and Husqvarna is proud to once again be a part of it.
Andrews and his race team - consisting of Jason Thomas and Andrew Delong - have been hard at work, training and testing in Florida, and are looking forward to kicking off the 2012 race season. Thomas will be racing the TC250 and Delong is contesting the 2012 season aboard a TXC310.

"We're excited to get back to enduros," Andrews said. "Husqvarna made a vast improvement over least year's bikes. The 2011s were good, but this year's are better. We've got some new exhaust systems from Pro Circuit and we're excited to go racing!"

The Husqvarna brand might be a seasoned fixture when it comes to racing enduros, but Thomas and Delong are relatively new to the series and the race format. Andrews - himself a multi-time National Enduro winner - admits that initial expectations are modest. He expects to see great things from the FAR duo once they get some enduro experience under their belts.

"We're definitely going to be top-ten guys - maybe top-five starting out," Andrews commented. "As the year goes on, we're going to be looking to do better. We're going to try to win one, or some. But our main goal is to bring Husky back to the enduros and show people that we have a strong presence and we're going to get better."
