As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Excited to see them in the flesh!
The bikes we get over next 2 weeks will be 2014 bikes for sure and this summer? what ever that time frame is will be 2015 most changes will be 2016 ,it sounds like we will have a street legal FE350 and Fe501 for 2015 but when they will arrive ??who knows. All I know is theres about 1/3 the bikes coming next week than I expected so no BS if your looking at white and blue better grab your cash right now or wait 6 months. So these are an early batch of 2015s, and the ones coming out in the fall will be the same design as this early release?
cross your fingers and your bike #1 put together then Toms TE300I will be in Saturday with my tie-downs in hand![]()
I get that though some states its real easy to do just not Oregon and California.Hard to get around that 10 grand plus for the Huskie I want and no plate.
We all got passwords saturday for the new dealer site for parts etc, will look at it today.Over the last week they have been shutdown we did get boxes all week of about 90% of back orders filled.so are they shipping spare parts as well ?
Good luck on that one !I dont think anyone is going to let loose a single unit.I spent sometime on the new KTM supported dealer website Saturday.i was checking stock and price of some bolt on items for the new 2014 KTM based Huskys. Was happy to see most of the items were in stock already and Ann did not waste any time shopping for new Husky clothing to compliment the new bikes!as for bikes being shipped out to us dealers,as Bill mentioned we are getting less of them than we expected.i would be happy to trade with any dealer nearby that has an extra 350!!dan
