  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Husqvarna WR 360 200 Rebuild

Mine will be alive again soon, in workshop having overhaul. when i bought it bike was running fine apart from the rumble below. On strip down found main bearings rusty, must have been laid up for sometime with water in the cases !!! Rod kit on its way (ktm). Barrel was in good condition so just new piston here. Gearbox in very good condition very little wear anywhere. What is really odd, 2 smoke huskies never seem to wear bad anywhere, i have had a few over the years and not one was ever a basket case !!

If they let go it tends to be lack of maintenance im suprised the seals dont go and seize or flood engine in the event of crank shaft bearings going bad.

Second running ! blipping throttle, cooling down, and bit of riding around !! i missed it soo much .) starts on first kick if i make the piston go at top position ! it should be broken in now .)

I personally would do another few heatcycles then take her for a spin dont load the engine and dont make her scream not for the first hour or so, then after thats done warm her up every ride and go scare yourself on it..
What sprockets you running?

yesyes. thats what i did. 3 heatcycles. after the third one i took her for abit and them other day i warmed her u. did abheat cycle for a bit. and rode it on the field . not making her screm.not putting her in much pressure .) i willdo this today again and go for an nice ride i weekend

was at the workshop on wed doing some preping and cleaning prior to reassembly and found some brown residue on the flywheel side i think the cover had a bad seal and some water got into the crank ?

The whole engine has been inspected so, new rod set, crank bearing set, bore honed and new piston. full gasket set and top end o ring set.
