  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Std carb on your 98 Wr360 is a TM38mm...buy a keihin PWK 38mm and use the jetting database in this forum.

Que bueno encontrar alguien que sea de aquí, el tema es que estoy en duda de comprar la 360, por el consumo y repuestos, pero esta nueva nueva esa moto. Tambien tengo en vista una yamaha wr 250 z del año 94, mas endureada pero en condiciones optimas de motor y chasis, y obvio a como 9000 pesos menos. Asi que estoy en un completo y dificil dilema para decidir. Aqui el enduro que hacemos obviamente es en los cerros, que tenemos lugares privilegiados, son salidas bastante largas y polentas, con lugares rapidos, y lugares muy muy empinados y trabados. Amigo, la realidad es que si la moto esta entera y en buen estado no vas a tener problemas, mas que un cambio de piston o embrague como mucho. Con respecto a los repuestos si bien no es un cr o yz la gran mayoría de las cosas se consiguen, por mas que algunas las tengas que importar.
Yo le compre mi moto a un amigo y estaba en pésimo estado, cilindro rayado (voy a hacerle el nicacyl nuevo), la válvula no le andaba porque el alojamiento del rodamiento del actuador de la válvula estaba jodido y como es un lugar muy complicado no se puede rellenar el carter por eso y por unos remiendos raros que tiene me veo obligado a cambiarselo, también tengo un engranaje de tercera roto el cual voy a cambiar, y ya que estamos le voy a cambiar todos los rodamientos, como verás estoy reconstruyendo el motor a cero! y las cosas se consiguen.
Yo personalmente prefiero un 2t a un 4t, la mecánica es muchísimo mas aguantadora debido a que es mas simple ya que tiene menos partes móviles, además el ruidito de un 2t rabioso me acelera el corazon jejeje

Personally i preffer a 2 stroker than a 4 stroker, the engine is more reliable because it has less moving parts besides the noise of a 2 strokes makes my heart go crazy!!!
