• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna TE610 E 2000 Electrics Failed

Joe Forshaw

C Class
Hi I've got a 2000 te610e with 7500km on the clock and it's an absolute beast, love it. But while practicing wheelies up and down the road some of the electrics have failed on the bike, but in a very strange way. Noticed my rev counter was going a bit haywire and after I cut the bike out, it would not start off the button, there was nothing going to the starter motor. When the ignition is turned on, the neutral light comes on as normal, but the lights, indicators, horn and starter will not work. With a bump the bike starts and runs fine with the brake light working, and can even feel the starter working when I touch the button. Lights kind of work but very very dim, with the light switch off the rev counter will work up to 2K then drop back to 0 when it goes over. But with the light switch on, the rev counter will not work under 2K but as soon as it goes over it works fine, untill you drop it back down. The horn also kind of works with the light switch on, but not with it off. Cut the bike out and I'm back to the start with nothing working but the neutral light. Had a new battery a couple of months ago so unless I'm really unlucky and got a faulty battery I can't see it being the problem, but you never know.

Any common electrical problems with this model I should be looking out for? Note - my sidelight LED was on its way out a couple weeks ago and started flashing, just didn't use it since. Not sure if it still works or its blown.

Would appreciate any help :)

1st thing I would look for is a bad ground. These bikes vibrate and sometimes things come lose.
Other then that, a bare wire touching somewhere.
Good luck.
