  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Well I got out on the TE310 for the first time guys loved it!!! Was a snow ride but still fun its all we have in Canada is snow with tiny bits of dirt here and there until about March. Its a fairly mild winter so far this year. No mods other than power up, exhaust mod, re flash the computer etc. I have the 12 hole injector coming in the mail and ECU so will post a review of that when I install, but as it sits its about on par with a CRF450 power wise maybe a bit less but not much!! Will post a quick video link I hope that's ok mods!?? :thinking:

Thanks guys I know some of you guys get to ride year round..ya lucky ducks but we do what we have to up here so the winter break is as short as possible! :}
 
Having grown up in upper Michigan before I moved to California , we always road snowmobiles in winter and atvs , what is it like riding a bike on snow , do you ride it like you would on soft sand ?
 
Ya that's a good way to put it I suppose it is sort of like sand, it sure is fun if you can find some nice roads that have no tracks we had to follow quad tracks that day that had been frozen so it made ruts kind of like mud ruts that have frozen! I also have a 290hp Yamaha Apex snowmobile and a Can-Am 800 Quad but dirt bikes is my first sport followed by the other two! :)
