  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna te 250 2013 clutch

Hello all, bought this bike around a month ago and having a clutch issue. When I pull the clutch in, the bike is really hard to push, I've read up about the clutch plates sticking/ binding but I've looked at them and all fine, the lever is quite easy to pull so it don't feel like there air in it?

Other thing I'd like to check, is the gear which drives the secondary chain, the small sprocket which is connected to the sprocket on the back wheel, I am able to move it forward and backwards slightly, just want to know if this is normal or have I got wear inside the gear box

Any advice will be appreciated

No, it is not normal for the countershaft sprocket to move on the shaft if that is what is happening. It should be splined and held on by a bolt that should be tight enough to prevent movement. There should be a lock washer over the bolt as well.

Take the clutch basket our and check for wear on the fingers and a loose gear on the back.

The 2013 clutches have a problem with disintegrating clutch drive rubbers,

So what are the symptoms of these clutch drive rubbers disintegrating? How long do the clutch drive rubbers last in normal use?

Usually the clutch starts to rattle when the bike is cold.

I have 60 hrs on my 2012 clutch and it has rattled a bit since 40 hrs.

I bought the ZipTY kit.

For some reason my 2010 clutch is fine...i guess Husky changed suppliers for the rubbers,

Do you know if this issue happens with the 2011 models?
