250-500cc Husqvarna piston cross reference

Hello there,

I wanted to get an advice on a recent project I just picked up.

Bike is a 1988 Husqvarna WMX 250 , basically a Cagiva engine.

Bike needs a new piston , an OEM or aftermarket one for that bike is just too expensive.

I know of a few ones out there who claim Honda CR 250 or Yamaha YZ 250 piston will work fine.

Just trying to get an expert input into this topic.

Try Vertex. I think they make them for that model.

if it helps that's not an 88, the 88 250 was a left kicker that should be a 1989

yup, that thing is straight up cagiva, with husky letters. sure looks alot like an 80s cagiva...wonder if older parts cross to it? i had a 86 wmx that looked really close to that, going from memory

if that is an 88 or up wossner sells it. Under 89 husqvarna 250 cause they had the same engine cause thats where I got mine
