    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Got this email from Husqvarna North America today to answer a short questionnaire. Anyone else get it?

Interesting that Husqvarna NA uses a gmail account instead of a company email.

Funny sure doesn't look very "official" does it. You'd think they would have a letter head, Husqvarna logo or something.:thinking:

If they would have included GasGas in their survey it would have change my out come.:busted:
 
I find it completely strange they use a gmail....Working in the email industry, I don't typically see companies using free domains.
 
For the record, I actually checked with Jenna in Corona before I filled out the survey and she confirmed that it is their gmail account and their survey. They only use it for some things like this, everyone there has a regular HusqvarnaNA domain email.

We use a MS cloud email system for our regular company email and each account has a monthly fee....so I have been known to use a gmail account for purposes that I dont want a perpetual fee attached to, it easy to add an account an a pain to turn it back off.
 
They're probably also using 'secondary' gmail account not to get their corporate mails spammed - web crawlers are frequent to survey-making services.

I Wonder if that is a Husky HQ thing (Pierer probing market) or purely NA thing...

I love the motorcycle, but I purchased my Terra on the first day of spring and i still have not received my tool kit! I have contacted my dealer several times, and always get excuses!The last e-mail i sent has not been replied to in over 2 weeks!!.. I even have a we owe on the paperwork!. To me its the principle of the thing, the tool kit is on $15, But I want it!...It is owed to me!.. I wish Husqvarna would send me a survey, I have some info about a dealer in Georgia... Luge!

When I see gmail, it instantly indicates intelligence of the author. Why not use the fastest email service and the best free tool from the biggest tech corporation in the world? I think Husky will do fine, and they really did get a gift from BMW. The only problem is their bikes are better and more economical than KTM's, lol. How do you report that to the boss?!?
