  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna Dealer Service Tool avaliable in Milwaukee area

Matthew525

Husqvarna
AA Class
I recently got my hands on the Husqvarna Service Tool (HST)

This is the same tool used by the dealer to diagnose and remap the fuel injection system. I have updated it to ensure all the most recent files are avalible.

This tool is used on both the Mikuni and Keihin EFI systems on later model Husqvarnas.

I can download the open exhaust map or other avaliable maps to the ECU.

I can reset all adaptable learning in the ECU and go through the relearn

I can see all sensor values and diagnostics

I can read any present error codes.

I can see which map you are currently running also.

Let me know if I can help any of you guys out.

I work for a small beer fee or minimum monitory donations, not here to make money, rather help other husky owners.

Hi, I write you from Spain (Europe)

I believed that HST was an on- line tool and the server was stopped a few months ago. Could you conffirm that in USA works properly?

Many thanks

I was able to do it yesterday so the online still works for USA.

Once updated, no need to used the website any more. I was able to successfully update to newest maps yesterday.

Still works for me.

But...
You have to get the password through e-mail. There may be no way to get the password, luckily I was given the correct password by the previous owner so I did not need to have THEM EMAIL ME. I would assume there is no one to email you back the password at this point

You're a VERY lucky man!!!

I'll tell this to my old HVA dealer (now they sell the new ones)

Thank you so much. I'll write you if necessary.

Hi,
Sorry to bother, but I have just bought a 2013 red top txc310 in New Zealand for my son.
The clutch rubber dampers have "disappeared" into the engine. I know 1 camshaft is worn, but not sure what else may have been affected by rubber bits clogging up the oil passageways.
Can you help me and my son with some rebuild questions?
Such as - how much do we need to tear down the engine to get rid of the rubber?
Any advice would be very gratefully received.
Thanks
Frank & Mike

PS I would like to be able to plug the engine into diagnostic software once we have it up and running again. Can you help there too?

You have to split the cases.

If the cam journals are shot then you are looking a big cash.

if they are good you can rebuild.

I just saw this post, and i am also in Milwaukee! I recently purchased a TE310. On a few occasions i had issues where it would bog out in 2nd or 3rd. I think it was fuel injection. It also dies sometimes as i downshift as i come to a stop, only when the bike isnt that warmed up though. It cam with a dynojet and autotune, although neither are installed

I know a lot more about the keihin system compared to your mikuni fuel injection, but either way the HST will work and we could see if there are any codes and see if the bike was powered up or not.
