• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Seems a little weird to be n Mex, but here it is ... And you get to go Loco

The 85th edition of the Six Days of Enduro will take place in Morelia (Michoacan, Mexico), from the 1st to the 6th November 2010.
Husqvarna Motorcycles and its official importer Husqvarna De La Grange Moto Art, have arranged a bike rent and purchase service for people who want to take part at the enduro Olympics with a Husqvarna bike. The set contains an assistance service in loco and the availability of spare parts for the private riders and for the riders who have been chosen by the different nations/team participants.

There's a limited number of bikes available. Reservations can be done within the 15th of July, getting directly in touch with Mexico’s importer, and emailing to:servicio@dlgmotoart.com

Definitely newsworthy, but is it possible that the people that might be tempted to rent and race in the ISDE, would be reading the racing forum?

Maybe U should move it over there then ...

Sounds like a pretty cool idea really ... but wrong country 4 me :(

i am thinking the time may be perfect for this in mexico. the locals will most likely appreaciate the biusness

Very cool! I've been out of racing for so long, just as a matter of curiosity, what's required to qualify these days?

If it is anything like the Baja race look for the population to grow during the event with people looking to steal stuff. Anything not chained down will disapear. I talked to a guy last month that had a team that went to Baja for the pre-run and their van truck (with all the bikes and gear) was stolen from in front of their hotel. That would suck.
