• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Who's first?
Someone had to be the guinea pig in the name of testing the 701 Supermoto.

Lars drew the short straw.

Husqvarna Motorcycles is happy to introduce the 701 Supermoto. Dedicated to everyone who fell in love with the latest Husqvarna street machine recently introduced at 2014 EICMA, the brand new 701 Supermoto is due to be at official Husqvarna dealers in November 2015.

What's the point of a teaser? The prototype was ugly as hell and they should comfort everyone with the fresh new look lol

The bike is still ugly. I do admit though the accessories are good looking... A little too much yellow but for items you may wear for a season acceptable.

I like it and I'm going to own one! They've smoothed the lines and the front fender balances it out in my eyes. So work yourselves into your hateful little frenzy and I'll be jamming $20's into a gallon jar, all spring, summer and fall! Screw the new snowmobile, I'm going to build some ice tires and go back to riding with the guys on the lake!

Not really a hateful frenzy at all Norn, its just ugly to most people. You are just proving the old addage there is someone for everyone, even the less pretty ones (there I didn't say ugly...oops). I say if you like it, ride it and enjoy it. I am sure you won't be the only one to buy it so you will be okay.

Agreed. Am I missing something? I watched the video and they never show the bike enough to get an idea of styling.

Or Norm could go buy a KTM 690 duke and have one now. Just change the plastics and your set.:p
JK. I'm sure they'll sell and hopefully the final version will look cool.

My bent and previously broken bones, can't deal with the locked in position of the 690 Duke. SM is the ticket for me... long flat seat, with sit up and beg riding position, like a dirt bike!:oldman:

I would love a 690 Enduro. I'd be interesting to see the final Husky Enduro version of the 701. My Super Tenere is awesome but the Enduro would be even better for my type of riding. Hmmmm...
