    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

well lets hope the new owner carries on that or its gonna be the monster build from hell lets hope he's not dartyppy's cuzin :lol:
 
I got the last batch of little stuff last week and heard the news from Steve.
The new guy is in Ontario Ca. Wishing all the best for Steve and the new guy ;)
 
probably had something to do with being a business and not wanting to pay to be a sponsor here. cafe husky seems to be pretty strict about that.
 
I would think the new owner will start with ebay.Just hope they are realistic what parts are worth.
 
Vintage pricing is likely to be the same type of costing you see with marine products and other specialty hobbies

Actually my 82 250 and the 390 was from your area that I bought.
 
Luckily Steve was not the only vintage guy to buy from but to me it is always somewhat disheartening to see a known source evaporate.

yea but will you stop and say hi on your way home im only about 5 miles south off I44 you can take either Republic exit
 
Every parts source we lose its another shot in the foot. I hate to lose anyone. There was a dealer in Oregon who had pistols and gaskets etc. I no longer can find him. These old timers are disappearing one by one. Along with losing the parts supply there goes the many decades of husqvarna knowledge too. One guy in Stratford,ct is a guru with autos. He raced dirt track with a 390 auto. I haven't been there in eons.

Time goes by so fast. Ride more, ride a lot more, god bless, stay safe.

You didn't seem to put your inventory on some search function I found, it seemed Upstate Cycle In South Carolina and Halls were the only ones I found with what I wanted. I couldn't find the link to it just a dead possible one.

Have you approaced Halls?

Link your inventory or something of that nature?
