• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I just learned that Steve of huskydogg parts sold his business off.He was a big help over the years. He said new owner is not selling parts as of right now.See what surfaces in the future.

Yea I was looking for a 68 tooth clutch basket for a 390.Anyone have one,any condition?

Ebay?

That's bad news. We're losing motorcycle dealers here too. I hope it's not a trend.

Remember when the bottom fell out with all the .com's years ago?
The economy isn't so stable again today. Seeing places going out of business or advertising for business or begging isn't good.

Just when I thought the husqvarna Swedish parts improved.

Less and less dealers are focussing on the old Husky's.
In Europe there are like 4 parties still focussing on the Italian husky's.

Me (Italhusky.com), our importer, the german importer and an Italian dealer.

You don't go carry anything for mid 90s 350?

Not in stock. But I can get my hands on a lot of stuff. It just takes a little bit of time,
First I check if the factory has stock.
After that I check the german importer which has quite a stock.
After that I check the Italian party which focusses mainly on pre-2000 and vintage Husky parts.

Steve will be missed. He was always willing to help while searching for that elusive part. Fair pricing, great packaging, and quick shipping. He was my first to go-to parts source. I wish him best of luck in his new endeavors.

Yes he will be missed. He had a great passion for these race bikes. I think he still does, but more to life than just bikes.

Real reason is he wants to travel maybe just do something
else for a while. he was even going to sell his home. I am trying to get in touch.

He talked about doing this whole change in Jan. But had no idea he was going to do this so fast. Thats fast.

We will miss him.

It is a rough business to depend on it for a living. I prefer doing it in my sparse spare time now. It is difficult to make consistent money on discretional hobbies like vintage motorcycle where most of us work at it when we have the time to do as much as we can prior to parting with our hard earned money

Dont want to get into to much, but was he told not to post on this site about his business. so he left this site

That was from the owner. It was not from our great moderator guys we have here. Thats all I will say.

He is doing great. Talked with Steve on phone yesterday. All bikes parts are sold and on to new undisclosed owner.

He was pleasantly surprised to here about all the nice comments from all you cafe guys.

He has some fantastic new plans, travel etc.
