• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky wins Last Dog Standing

ajaxauto

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Well at least in the over 50 expert class. The little Husky 125/165 made it thru LDS 1 no problem Then qualified to LDS 2 where it got harder and the cut off times shorter. Made it all the way to the finish. Just not in time to be a official finisher So did not get to advance to LDS 3. They told me I won the over 50 Expert class. So once again the little Husky finishes another super tuff event

1 St Cody Web
2 ND Taylor Roberts
3 RD Kyle Redman
4 TH Cory Graffunder

Those 4 guys just raced Ensberg in Austria They are so good

Expert class? Congratulations bigtime!

I'm a little curious on your history ... Were you winning on that level earlier in your racing career?

I did not become a expert until I was about 42,that was around 1999. Then I got moved up to expert and could not win a race until 2007 when I rode my sons Husky CR125. Before that I was on big heavy loud hard to work on over priced 4 strokes .
Once I rode the CR 125 the first 2 stroke I had ridden since 1979 I never went back. In 2007 I went from never winning a race to winning a National # 1 plate against the open class on a bone stock CR 125. Ridding the little 2 stroke is like cheating

Did you ever get the 175 kit? Was it on for this race? Awesome job as always, can't wait for the helmet cam footage!

I am always game for all sorts of top tier events...just out of the game right now on the wrist list. I subscribe to the same theory as Ajax-- Participate dont Spectate (by choice)- its all part of the moto adventure.

John got to ride the same stuff that guys who just did Erzberg rode, the list of top tier guys is a North American who's who of extreme enduro racing....thats cool being on the same course with world class guys!!!
by the way Ajax is at 1:44 on the Beau viddy.

Hey Robert I did not even know that was me at min 144. Thanks for pointing that out. That hill was so steep I had the 165 pinned. I also pre walked that hill and had to slid down it on my butt it was that steep

Golden Tyre 216 sticky with a drilled and groved moose along with 12/52 gearing and it still was hard. If only I could hang on to the 300 in that super tuff stuff

Bottom line I lined up next to the best in the world and rode the same course as they did ONLY not as fast

you had the GT216 gummy 140/80-18 FIM pattern rear with a "soft/softened" mousse? right? what did you have on front end?

Since I could not get a golden front ,there are non in the country. But Ty Davis should have them soon I just ran a 100/90 Dunlop Geomax 51 But the 100/90 in no longer made you have to use a 90/90

Believe it on not I get about 4 yes 4 full years of racing on a stock clutch. As for the clutch basket and hub it is still the original 2008. When I listen to the video I say the same thing but the clutch last and the 20/50 Lucas oil looks clean when I change it. Go figure

ajaxauto-You are THE MAN, thanks for posting the vids and the tips on gearing my CR150. I'm 59 and very impressed with your determination!!! My knees are shot from 33 yrs on the LAFD and multiple surgeries. You inspire me to ride more and harder. Thanks.

Fire dog Glad you liked it /as for the 12/52 it is so much fun makes you feel like a hero BUT your top speed is around 40 So for tite stuff it is worth it other wise 13/52 will work every where else I did this race last year with 13/52 and also did some wide open desert with the 13/52
