  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A Class
So today I finaly got a chance to do dome real riding on my 449.
Bought it in DEC and due to work and weather I haven't had a chance to ride much.
hit some snow and mud and hills and so on.
Rode up to an area were I took my WR250R And the Husky bazed up this on mega steep sand hill with plenty of grunt to blast the corner at the top and come down fast enough to scare my self.
Then hit a mud hole that surprised my on how deep it was "water over front fender" Hit the gas and pulled out! No problem! Oh yeah we are going to be good friends!

Enjoy your 449, they are awesome bikes! Comparing it to a wr250r is like comparing chalk and cheese.
I've had both bikes and the 449 blows the wr250r into the weeds!!!

If you haven't uncorked this thing yet, it makes a huge difference adding the can and tuner (Motosportz set me up) it makes things even more exciting.

I had th daler do the power up and remove the smog junk before I picked it up and I did put on the JD tuner.
this bike just puts a smile on my face.
Funny, I read all the quirks people mention. In My opinion every machine has quirks. So work them out ride and enjoy.
It's all fun!
Going to race the Virginia City Grand prix in April In the old geezer class:lol: Did it last year on the WR figure to do better this year.
