• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

YEP! Cody put the TC 250 on the podium today in Unlimited C class! The day started early and VERY muddy from T-storms last night. Practice heats were brutal. The bike came back to the pits with 900 pounds of mud stuck all over the place! :banghead: (OK, only 9 lbs... :busted:). After practice, the sun came out and the track was perfect for racing.

I've said this before, and I have to say it again... don't let ANYONE (especially the magazine morons) tell you this bike is slow. Cody got the holeshot in the first moto and was third out of the hole in the second (18 riders).

And as far as starting... in the second moto, Cody went down TWICE :banghead: and had the bike going in 3-5 kicks.

As usual, there were several "pit-side inquiries" held under our canopy... the conversations usually start like this: "Is that really a Husqvarna?... I didn't think they made bikes anymore...." :banghead: The conversations usually end like this: "Awesome bike, It rips". :D

First, Congratulations on your racing!

Yep ... there's a lot of BS and other miss-guided info on these W0rldWideWeb sites ... There is such a wide range of people here .... About anything might and can be said ...

Yep, I can see where many don't know Husky still makes any bikes ... AND winning races has a way of promoting a product and gathering a crowd !!!

Good luck and keep up the good work on your bike

Lest anyone doubt or think I'm making these claims up (as sometimes gloating fathers might be inclined to do...).

Hey thats very cool make sure to tell Cody CONGRATS from all his Husky brothers on CH. I worked a check point today in a race at Action Town here in VA and there were only three Huskys in the three races out of a coulple of hundred bikes. Finishes like Cody's and people asking about Husky will help bring the name back to the top; or at least let people know yes Husky still makes bikes. Very good Cody!
