• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

It is what I call a 70 GTO Custom. It originally was a Cardinal Red, 400, 4spd, GTO.

It is now a 455 (12.5:1/040 over), Ram Air III heads (Ported/Polished), Roller Valve Train, 4spd, with 69 GTO Emblems (instead of 70 decals), 69 GTO Judge Spoiler (rear).

An engineer @ Pontiac told me that GTO stands for: Going for Tear Offs and Oil?

Thanx!

That's what got me, the badges, I didn't notice the spoiler. I love me some GTO, I'm still looking for a '65 with in my budget. Very nice job Darty, she sounds like she's got some strong legs.

That's a big Holley .... What did you do for headers? Got those big tube Hookers on there? :) ... It you can manage to press that pedal down only about 1/4" at a time ...you'll get great mileage :)

My Husky parts getter (believe it or not). Haven´t got a car. Am 75 and waiting till I get really old. Use the MZ to get Husky parts, not the other way around as the MZ never needs `em.

Wow... Nice job!

So, like...if I married you then that car would be half mine...right, Sugar?

I had a boyfriend that had a `67 GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato) that his uncle had bought new. It was 14 years old with 17k miles on it when he got it. That car was huge fun!

When Eric was roadracing he had a few team members that were all roommates. One of them had a `67 GTO that was a paint job away from a complete restoration. One of the other guys was transferring gas into his streetbike and the garage went up in flames. Burned 2 racebikes, a VFR, a GB500, a Ducati Diana and, of course, the GTO. The roommate is still known as Joe Inferno to this day :busted:

My parts getter is also a big brown truck, but sometimes I gotta use this...

How many CARBS? The 65 models had 3 deuces ... 3, 2 barrel carbs ;)

That's the only way to have a '64-'65 Goat. 3-deuces on a 389ci with a 4 speed. But not the OEM Rochester carbs, gotta make the switch to Holley's & learn how to keep them adjusted.

By the time the 69 & 70 models came out, it was all about the big block HP. I really loved all the makes of American performance cars from the mid 60's to the early 70's, good times

I still have my old cars rotting away. I have a '71 Olds Cutlass SX (455) that was my first car. I ended up restoring it and doing the car show thing, got it into Muscle Car Review magazine and never worked on it again. I also have a '71 442 W-30 Convt. that was 1 of 78 produced. It is rough and needs full restoration besides motor. Someday.

Sweet car

2000 Ford F150 with 225K on it and a Saab 9000 turbo with 155K on it. :D

But... 11 motorcycles.

Priorities you know.

Had some nice cars back in the day, now i see them as transportation. Used to do frame and body work for a living right out of high school, had lots of cool cars back then.
