• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky Jerseys...sizing sucks

One of the things I wanted for my Bday was an official Husky jersey. Well, my girl went to every dealer in a 150mi radius trying her best to support local business. The red and white ones seemed to be sized way too small. My son tried one on that was tagged as mens 2xl, and the sleeves almost made it to his wrists.

What gives? Its there a different sizing system for Italian men? I guess the blue ones were correct FWIW.

If the factory guys are so tiny, do they need a step stool and a mechanic to help them aboard like a horse jockey?

The new style of jersey has been discussed before on CH, with a majority of posters expressing their dismay at the way the jerseys were sized and cut. I bought a couple of mediums of the new style, and found that they fit me pretty well as far as sleeve length and shoulders, but the bottom portion of the body is cut very tight, especially for a woman. I couldn't wear the old style at all because there were no smalls and the mediums were so freakin' huge that I looked like a flying squirrel in one.

Right? Luckily Fox makes a very nice Husky colored jersey that she got instead. It's white with red and black accents. Guess I'll need to look to CH for properly fitting Husky gear? The 80's cut off shirt look was something I had forgetten, but my GF had mentioned it as a sure no go.

They are tiny! I normally wear a large, and seeing none of that size, wasn't going to get one. Steve at Hall's said "they run really small, try a x-large". Long story short, I ended up with a 2xl that fits OK but still a tad wierd. Normally I could use a 2XL for a tent!

Husky tells their dealers that they are generally two sizes small. Something about 5'4" Italian guy wanting to feel like he's 6'2". So if you wear an XL...order the 3XL. Trust me I'm 6'3" and 320 lbs the 3XL jersey fit my left thigh pretty good.
