• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky Hard Parts Catalogue

I saw that mentioned, but I haven't heard anything else. This would be nice. I've been saying Husky needs to step it up in this area and take a lesson from Orange. BMW has a good line of stuff so maybe they will expand on whatever exisits now. I'd just like to buy a dang t-shirt or beanie.:D

Yet another purpose for Cafe Husky

Sort of like the the Important Info sticky but much improved.

Even if a real hard parts catalog comes out we can 'add value'

Here you go, cover picture and a few sample pages:

Apologies for the image quality, don't have a scanner so these were quick snaps from the camera.

Apparently some parts are in stock now, everything else to be available in Europe throughout January. Prices not yet released for the newer parts...

Looks like that tank couldn't be much bigger than the 3gal (edit, cause it looks just like the). IMS.

cool that they have a Motard kit.

It's definitely the IMS tank, thats what the man on the Milan show stand confirmed. Acerbis UK don't know anything about the Husky tank but they are checking with Italy.

Well, the Aftersales Manager from Husqvarna Italy who sources the parts for the catalogue confirmed it was an IMS tank and the IMS website lists a tank for the 08 TE510 with EFI...

In fairness the IMS website does say 3.0 gallons which would actually be around 11.3l if you convert from US gallons but 13.5l if you took the 3 gallons to be imperial so it's possible the 13.5l is an incorrect conversion by whoever produced the brochure text.

I am sponsored by IMS and they confirmed that they do not make that tank.

IMS is notorious for misinformation. There is a thread on TT from when these tanks first came out and people were calling IMS on the same day or week and getting totally different answers. :excuseme: Seems the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing.

I think it's neat that they have put together a catalog, but I think you'll find that it's mostly OE parts, and probable some aftermarket parts, that we can actually already buy, showcased in a nice catalog.

Thats a good summary, the 'power up' kits for the 450/510 appear to be SMRR parts and some of the bits like the filler cap are already available. There are a number of new items though, alloy and Ti silencers for 09 TEs for example which are supposedly worth 5hp on a 450 over the stock silencer so it's definitely a step in the right direction.

Oh yes, don't get me wrong, it's a great start in the right direction. :applause:

Do they have all the SMRR carbon fiber stuff in there? I may look into some carbon parts and would love to have a nice carbon / Ti muffler.
