• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I might be jumping the gun here but does anyone know of any organized Husky rides for 2009?

There will be a NE Husky gathering in 09 but no details yet. Considering moving more into summer months rather than late sept. Will be in NY area. Other details are miles down the road and yes............a Huge nac-nac over the triples rather than "jumping the gun".

Planning on having another Husky trail ride here in Michigan. Unsure as to the date or which trail system. Will post here when things become available
 
George Uptite and I are talking on the phone working out the details of a trip in Feb or March. Details to be released soon. It will be all Husky, and it will be in Baja, probably along the Sea of Cortez. :thumbsup:

Probably another Husky trip to Baja in the summer, but thats awhile yet.

I would be up for a 2 day 200 mile Nor Cal ride late spring if folks are interested. :excuseme:

dunno about the 200 mile part but I'm planing on a 2 night stay at Stonyford, maybe Feb/March/April - not picky.

Bend Euro Moto has been thinking about an eastern oregon Husky ride. Maybe part of the OBDR or one of our other dual sport routes.

Wondering whos place its gonna be at this year. Was going to come out with Fran Bottone this last year,but I ended up having to work.:thumbsdown: This year I'm going, wether I have to work or not.
 
new guy here...what I can disclose about the 09 NE Husky Gathering is that it will be in July/August...hopefully to avoid the bad weather scenarios...at this point, the plan is to hold it at Thunder Ridge Cycle Park...lotsa track and trail to ride, it should be big....

It should be good, but it can rain like crazy any month in Central NY!:busted: I wonder how much caual riding we'll be able to do, if an AHRMA event is going on at the same time?
 
WNC is a perfect place for a Husky gathering. :cheers:

Awesome****************************************! I forgot all about that one..... I ordered a custom red dyed Ostrich feather duster from a feather duster specialist in Australia****************************************! Should be here some time this year****************************************! Gotta replace the "Elvis Cologne" too....... Will get pics soon.... We'll have to go to Monument now for sure...... Thanks much little brother....
