• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky and Excel rims question?

Huskys4Life

Husqvarna
B Class
I am in need of a new rear rim for my 01 wr250. I have been searching but cannot find any reference to an offering from Excel for a rim for Husky. They have come stock on Huskys for 20 or more years, yet they do not offer one as an aftermarket replacement:excuseme:

Does anyone know if another bike/model excel rim cross references to the husky? How about spokes and nipples?

I have used a company in co called woody wheels works He has done many rims for many different bikes But for my Husky 510 he used a excel rim with a different spoke pattern and customs spokes anyway it has worked for many years I think he is in Denver if you can not find it it will look it up for you

Is this another case like with Acerbis being the OEM manufacturer for Husky and contracted not to sell to the public?

Seems to be. Like I posted up top, they have come stock on Huskys for 20 years or more and RK Excel has no listing for them on their aplication chart.

They can use a excel rim with a non stock spoke pattern with custom spokes and still
beat the stock price They also repair bent rims i had a KTM 950 which hit a curb in a accident and looked like a taco They repaird it and it looked and worked great
