    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Well I made the 900 mile round trip to Panaca Nevada.Which is located 180 miles north east of Las Vegas Nevada.Elevation 4,900 feet high desert. I was the ONLY Husky there according to the results posted on moto tally.Any way lined up between Nic Burson and David Kamo both ex Zip Ty Racing Factory Husky racers.After 95 miles and 3hours and 29 min I finished first 250 on my Husky 165 and 4 th overall against the open class for over 50 A. Big mistake of the day was waving 3rd by just before the finish as I thought he was not in my class So I missed 3rd overall by 16 seconds
The course was high desert in and out of the trees with lots of deep sand washes.The Walt Smith 165 was screaming all day and ran great against a field of 450s The 165 now has close to 1000 miles on it.Yes and never been touched.Time to open it up and show some love.Round 9 is in a few weeks back in Luceren Calif.All I have to do is finish the 120 mile round 9 to get 3rd for the year but if I do well at both round 9 and 10 I have a chance for 2nd maybe even better.
I have all the course on my go pro so will get the 3.5 hours edited and posted.There are many pictures already posted on the National Hare and Hound sight and also facebook.
Where are all the Husky I sure hate being the ONLY one out there
