• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna
A Class
hi guys just got myself another husky, this one is 2010, and has tps sensor and stuff, just wanted to ask what's different from this model i did have a 06 with electric pv and no tps, seemed alot qucker than this, i was running dep pipe with 14-48 sprockets and had 70mph,
my new model has fmf fatty 14-46 and im only getting 63mph, thought i would get atleast 75-80 with diffrent sprockets.

has anyone done any mods to the later models and if so what have you done.

My son has a 2011 SMS , which is pretty much the same has yours. Mods so far : stock but gutted exhaust, 185 main jet ( instead of 142 ) , 14-48 sprockets, carb tuned by the hva dealer, and that is it. Though top speed is not the goal, I followed him yesterday at 140 km/h on a flat road

not sure what's up with mine i just about hit 110 km/h at a push and its fitted with new honed cylinder and piston. im running 150 jet maybe that's the problem.

yep, definitely too small if you have an aftermarket exhaust

How many RPMs on the engine at that speed?

I have all the mods available just in the box (lack of time lately) but have a WR with the same mods so I can tell you a bit what is possible

165 cc cylinder
FMF fatty exhaust (modded KTM 200 pipe) but want to keep the original silencer
Lectron carb 36mm
you need different reed cage for that so also changed the reeds (Vforce)
CR ignition with modded light coil and KTM CDI (something my WR don't have)

my intentions with this bike:

forget practical its simply a hooligan bike to toy around town.

forget top speed its all about acceleration and handling in tight traffic.

Pulling out drz 400 or XR 400 or even crotch rockets at traffic lights and as soon they come up to speed they have to brake for the next corner, a trafic light or an idiot in a car.

its made for giving me smiles, burning rubber and consuming oil and fuel.

currently run stock with 14-52 gearing and its fun.
the original gearing is to tall with a standard engine in my opinion.

besides that you don't want to go faster then 120 Km/hour in Cambodia

but I do hit the 90 in town with ease
