  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I'm thinking about a Husaberg TE250..... I don't want to go back to the old style WR250/300, Husky 4 strokes are great, but I'm not a 4 stroke guy and Gas Gas isn't really interesting me right now. I also want a bike I can get some matching riding gear for. The TE is a polite way for me to give over to the Orange Power and keep a Swedish connection. I got to watch one go in some nasty stuff in my section at my club's enduro and was impressed. Any opinions?

supposed to be very good -
I just bought a 200 exc - 6kg lighter and lighter than the 144?
I know you werent a fan but have you tried a newer one ?

Mine is mostly black -
I have only spent garage time on it but its quality is obvious and its easy to work on - bolts are better - filter design is very good

I have a 300 in my garage right now. I havent had much of a chance to ride it, but it sure looks to be put together nice. I know it will be a good bike.

They are going to be tough to get this year. I have been told that there are only 300 2012 Bergs coming to NA this year.

Hey "Benedict Foley"....The moment you buy a 2 smoke berg....Husky will release a press release of a lightweight direct injected 2 stroke In the new frame and weighing in lighter than all the others.....So I am saying buy the berg so the 2nd half of that prophecy will come true!

Lighter than the 144 what ? The claimed dry weight of the KTM200 is 209lbs. The weight of the Husky WR150 is 208lbs. My personal WR150 with radiator guards, Bark Busters, ICO Computer, Headlight, tail light, larger rear sprocket and 2.8gal tank has a wet weight (no gas) of 216lbs measured on my scales. The KTM might be nice but it doesn't weigh less than the Husky.

The 144 is SOOOOOO light that it stayed at the top of the hill at the Ohio National whereas you tumbled to the bottom. Do you weigh more than the 144?

Husky, Husy.... we're just one big happy family! I hope it works better than my attempts to get a big 125 tank right away! Now that I have your attention.... Send me the AMA Waivers!

Dude...I have been workking every day (actually nights for like 15 to 18 hours) without any time off but to sleep and shower since the storm! I have begun to not shower as of today in protest as I am the only one whom has not had a shift off yet! The waivers will wait as I have not been home yet either

Hang in there buddy! Maybe I'll get the Husy at Edelmann's, slide by HQ and spring you out for a shower and a beer!

Close..............LOL. Thank goodness that I have the power issue solved and had no problem pulling hills that big and bigger this past weekend.

I have never been a EFI fan and after the ISDE this year , I'm not for sure. Several riders went out with EFI problems including Mandi .
