• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

How'd I do?

100_1174.jpg 100_1176.jpg 100_1172.jpg Just picked up three new/old Husky's. I think they are all '79's, (2) WR250's and an Auto. Got them from a father/son who quit riding long ago, about '81. The bikes have been stored indoors since with the bowls drained. Father says he used to fire them up a couple times a year but it's been awhile. The Auto's tank has been stored and is pretty cherry. All three bikes have the factory odo. Two have about 2,600 miles and the third is at 3,600. Package deal $1,000

You did very well as all three came with full enduro packages. The group of 4 that I got came with 1 speedo, no headlights, and 1 partial taillight( no lens). Plus your's came assembled. 2 of mine were mostly complete basket cases

You STOLE them!

Sure but now he's got to ride them "like he stole them"

Ok, I got the red tanked WR250 running. It took all of changing the fuel line, adding fuel and kicking three times. The lights even came on

Well, I got a local guy here who may want to trade that one for an '81 KTM420, we'll see how that goes. Old husky chuck, I believe you're in Colorado? If you're serious I'll sell the white tanker including the non-dented red tank and trick Hi-Point leather tank bag complete with a vintage spark plug wrench and plug for $750. I'll even throw in the circa 1980 Rampart trail map
