• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

How many others have you seen on the road? Terra/Strada

Saw my first last Saturday. Hwy 40 just east of 291 independence MO.
Rider westbound, didn't see me I don't think, it was across a wide grass median from me.

Luckily I got rid of the ex-girlfriend that used to live over there in Pleasant Hill, had I not I'd be seeing you riding all the time and thinking dang that guy has a one of those Husky 650s, I wish I had one.

I see a Strada darn near every time I go riding! Lekolite is a riding buddy of mine and purchased his Strada a few weeks after I brought mine home. Love these bikes! I am pushing 3k miles after two months of ownership!

None so far, I would love to see a strada in person as I feel that is better suited to my needs. Anyone interested in trading for my terra?

Not yet. Only two Terra's were sold locally and mine was #1. The second Terra was sold a few days after I got mine and "the guy" up the road from me said it is a buddy of his. He said I probably wont ever see it on the road because his friend has a ton of other (brand new) bikes he just lets sit around and never rides. Thats too bad

Haven't spotted any when on my TR...but I was in Greenville SC about 3 weeks ago on my GS and passed 2 TRs...they were in a hurry. Wish I'd had time to give chase...not sure I coulda caught them though.

Saw a terra up Angeles Crest Highway (CA Hwy 2) last Sat., it was coming down, we were going up, around noon. Probably missed seeing them at Nucombs Ranch by a 1/2 hour.

I saw one on Greensborough Hwy cnr Grimshaw Street about a week ago. That was the first Terra I've seen while I was riding mine. Aaron_Simpson out and about ?

Have not yet seen another one in either Terra or Strada flavor. I am located in the Appalachians in the PA, WV, MD, VA area. I would have figured a few Terra's would be around as the local dealer sold a ton of them and are out.

Spotted this morning in Bundoora, Melbourne, a Terra with the factory luggage fitted, about 1km from the Husqvarna dealer, MotoGC.

The only one I've seen on the road is the one I own. There are 2 husky dealers within a 30 mile radius of my house too. I have a Strada, it was sitting next to a terra on the showroom floor, but my dealer said she shipped the terra to Wyoming. I guess they're not that popular around here...
