• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

How many Kilometeres befor i Uncrate ??

Blazes

Husqvarna
AA Class
I have a 2009 610 TE one of many bikes i have --i bought it new and have now done just over 28,000 km with it mostly gravel. How long before i can look at doing rings etc to her --she is still on the original cam chain --uncorked and has a Arrow slip on --i love this bike as it has never given me any issues -- But my problem i have is that i Have the last 610 TE that came into SA --still in a crate been there now for two years nearly. Dilemma -- my girlfriend has ridden my 610TE and is in LOVE --with my bike of course  She has a DRZ 400 and although it is not a bad bike it has cost more to run than all 6 my bikes put together and i dont think it will see the end of the year --so she WANTS to ride my 610TE --what do i do --- get a girl who rides a Husky or a lady who is not into Biking trying to save the one in the crate as long as possible --dont mind her riding my 450Te and i ride my 510Te but the one in the crate :confused:

The TE610 as a sub 150kg DS bike is the last of it's kind, worldwide.
Bike manufacturers are not and do not intend pursuing that segment of the market.

Once production of the TE630 runs off, all that is left is the KTM 690 and the XR650L.
If you dont like the 690 or 650L then you gotta look at preserving your 610's for as long as you intend riding.
And remember stuff happens and bikes sometimes get stolen / written off.

Given the above, I think your girlfriend should sell her DRZ 400 and buy a good 2nd hand 610 for herself and that way Madonna gets to stay the way she is - like a virgn.:D
