• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

How do you mount your Watchdog?

racemx904

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Just got one for christmas and was looking into mounting options....

I have a Scotts mount but it dont look exactly right...

I mounted my Watchdog using the brackets that came with it. I used longer bolts and spacers and bolted it on to the lower holes of the handlebar clamp.

personally i think the ICO is better but being a budget racer....I got this baby for a song...watchdog, scotts mount, and 3 sensors for a buck fifty...

yes a cheater enduro tool....but i like it...i need it to...I burned all kinds of checks at my first enduro....ouch....first 1 was like a minute then just got worse...actually burned 1 by 11 minutes...but mostly cause my odo was way off...thats my excuse....

My bike had a Vaportech mounted to the bars when I got it a few months ago. I made a custom mount out of 16ga stainless and welded tab mounts to ss washers. Rock solid and centered. Oem bracket was plastic and not centered.

Nothing against them at all - I was just being a smartazz. I come from a long line of them, and can't help myself...

letitsnow...I am a true Smart A$$ so there was no offense taken...although I take offense to your user name...6 inches of snow for 2 weeks and I am ready to go mad...

Darth...to me the ICO is a little harder to program but still maybe only 30 minutes for an event with a bunch of speed changes and resets...the Watchdog was really easy...I programed a couple D 37 route sheets that were posted online...it took 10 minutes with 9 speed changes and 2 resets...didnt even read the manual before just programmed as i read...i wanted easy cause the OH enduros dont give out route sheets in advance so I wanted fast an easy...

The name is actually a bad joke. I hate snow, and don't even want to tell you how much we have right now.

The "DOG" is a great value alot less $$$ and you never hear any horror stories(as ICO) as Dave Dugas is a stand up guy and supports his products the he sells. Plus if you had a major fubar he sends out a loaner unit.. Thats supporting the sport

The Watchdog is super easy to program and when you have last minute changes they are easy to drop in.

The magnet pickup is a once buy and good for life(brass).. just another ICO horror story..(Plastic)

Put some ice screws in & go ride. It's a blast. Not everyone can have this much fun:thumbsup:

its not that kinda snow....just enough to be a hassle...plus the ground underneath is rock hard and like grease on concrete without snow....with was no fun at all...and a bonus is the 1000 lil roots and small logs you dont see until you are picking your bitt off the ground...

Me & 5 friends went yesterday & with ice screws front & back I had traction all day. [only 25 miles but tough]. Besides one flat on a Suzuki, an end over end on a Honda that spewed oil everywhere & couldn't kickstart for 20 minutes [locked up], & one Ktm [grandson] that plain got tired, we had a good day. The Husky & Yamaha had no issues.:)
